We are very excited to tell you about Blue Planet Run because two of our friends, Sean and Brynn, are participants in this impressive event. In an effort to raise awareness of the billion+ people who live without access to safe drinking water, Brynn, Sean and 18 others will run 15,200 miles through 16 countries and 4 continents. Blue Planet Run has already developed 130 safe water projects and this summer's run will only accelerate this important work.
Access Trip leader Roy is currently busy finalizing our soon to be launched El Salvador multi-sport trip. Twenty years of surfing, mountain biking and trekking experience in El Salvador have given Roy an unique understanding of his country as well as earned him respect among the local people. Roy's multi-sport trip will include mountain biking through El Salvador's coffee plantations, hiking lush rainforests, wakeboarding a tropical lagoon and surfing pristine breaks. We hear from Axel, our France & Spain surf trip leader, that spring has well and truly arrived in the beautiful Basque region and everyone is gearing up for the summer surf season. Axel is a local of Biarritz and knows the Basque surf spots and beaches like the back of his hand. Certified by the French Surf Association, he’s not only an expert surf instructor but also the perfect host to show the very best of his stunning home region.
This month our Japan trip leader, JP Martin (a former professional snowboarder), is heading to Nagano, Habuka and Hokkaido to introduce our clients to the wonders of skiing & snowboarding in Japan. Though currently based in Tahoe, JP has spent many years in Japan, speaks fluent Japanese and is your ideal guide to the incredible resorts and unique hospitable culture of Japan.
Access Trips co-founders Alain and Victoria, along with trip leaders Simon and John, have just got back from testing out several of our new multi-sport trips. These trips include sea kayaking, mountain biking and hiking in New Zealand, rafting, hiking, biking and game safaris in Kenya and surfing, sea kayaking, biking and canopy tours in Costa Rica. Karim, our Morocco surf trip leader, was one of the first instructors to join our team and over the years he's helped countless Access Trips clients to catch their first waves or improve their surf performance. Now we're excited to have Karim's wife Marie join our team to help us launch our first creative instructional vacation - a culinary tour of Morocco. Marie is currently visiting restaurants & markets and meeting with chefs as she puts the finishing touches to the itinerary, so keep your eyes open for the trip launghing early next year.
